The first time I saw Naren Udgan perform a beautiful shamanic dance at the New England Women’s Herbal Conference, I was mesmerized.
Her presence radiates strength, courage and power, but also gentleness, compassion and love.
In that moment I knew that I would invite her to speak at the MidAtlantic Women’s Herbal Conference. Lucky for us she said yes!
One of my favorite aspects of hosting and organizing an event such as this is the opportunity to get to know the teachers in an intimate setting. Many of these have become my close friends and allies over the years. The friendships that spring from a weekend together add a richness and texture to the teachings that are shared, bringing a vibrancy to the experience that is difficult to put into words.
Naren was born in the Ordos region of inner Mongolia.
As a child she faced loss and hardship, but these experiences formed her into a powerful healer as she stepped into her true self.
Today, she combines traditions from Mongolia with herbal wisdom, Reiki and Ayurveda to bring healing to both young and old.
I hope you enjoy this brief conversation with her.
